PEM cell (polymer Electrolyte Membrane) that combines the functions of electrolyzer and fuel cell in a single component.

Reversible operation: When connected to a power generator (photovoltaic solar cell, wind turbine, dynamo with a crank, etc.) it produces hydrogen and oxygen from deionized water (acts as an electrolyzer).

Applying an electrical charge generates electricity from hydrogen (acts as a fuel cell).
